A long-time dayan (judge) for the London Beth Din and rabbi in New York, Rabbi Hyamson spoke out against the calendar reform which would have resulted in the Jewish Sabbath no longer being on the seventh day of each week.

 Abstract:  Rabbi Moshe Kunitz was born in Alt-Ofen, Hungary, and died on February 2, 1837. He served as the rabbi of Ofen and was a dayan (adjudicator of Jewish law) in Budapest. He was also a pioneering member of the Jewish enlightenment and the Reform movement in Hungary. The collection consists of one photograph of Rabbi Moshe ben Menahem Kunitz.

 Abstract:  Names, Not Numbers is an educational oral history documentation project for teaching the Holocaust created by Tova Fish-Rosenberg in which students, advised by journalists, filmmakers and teachers, create taped interviews with either Holocaust survivors or World War II veterans that they subsequently edit and combine into a documentary film. Additionally, the filmmaker tapes the participants and produces a mini-documentary entitled Names, Not Numbers: A Movie in the Making. The collection consists of the films produced by students at the various participant schools, as well as the filmmakers' mini-documentaries. There is also a file of background information and publicity about the project.

The collection contains two documents relating to this tax and an unidentified Yiddish letter.
