 Abstract:  Rabbi Aaron David Burack (1892-1960) was a leading Rosh Yeshiva (Dean) at Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary (RIETS) and a central figure in the Orthodox Rabbinate and the Mizrachi movement. The collection consists of the personal papers, correspondence, speech notes, and halakhic writings of Rabbi Aaron David Burack. Ranging from the 1910s to the late 1950s, the material documents Rabbi Burack's career as a rabbi, speaker and public figure.

The collection consists of a five page manuscript letter from him to a Miss Garmise, in response to her letter asking him for information to be used to write an article about him, which contains biographical information, details about his educational background, and some comments about his religious ideology.

After the war, he was reunited with his wife and son and they relocated to New York, where he also became a publisher and wrote his memoir "The Holocaust Kingdom." The collection contains 14 black and white photographs of the Ghetto, along with two articles written by Donat.
