 Abstract:  When the Ponevez Yeshiva was destroyed in the Holocaust, its leader, Yosef Kahaneman, set about rebuilding it in the Israeli town of Bnai Brak and by 1943, it was already beginning to flourish. In 1994, the yeshiva held its 54th anniversary dinner, honoring Rav Avraham Kahaneman, the president of the yeshiva and the son of its founder. The collection consists of the journal from that dinner and another concurrent publication with articles about Rabbi Yosef Kahaneman and the yeshiva.

 Abstract:  Primo Levi was born in Turin, Italy, in 1919 and was trained as a chemist. He was interned in Auschwitz in 1944, and, after liberation, was a writer on fiction and non-fiction works on the Holocaust. The collection consists of a screenplay by Ed Davidson entitled "Primo," written in 1998, as well as a letter from Davidson to Rabbi Zevulun Charlop, the Dean of Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary at Yeshiva University about the screenplay from March 1999.

 Abstract:  The Progressive Brethren of Nieshwies was a Landsmanshaft (benefit society) located on New York City's Lower East Side. It was founded in 1888 by emigrants from Nieshwies (Neshwies, Niasvizh) in Belarus. The collection consists of an invitation and admission tickets to their 42nd anniversary banquet, a Golden Jubilee Book from its 50th anniversary dinner (1938), the Constitution of the Progressive Sisters of Nieshwies, and a souvenir journal from its 10th anniversary dinner (1935).

 Abstract:  Rabbi Aaron Dym was the Rabbi of Congregation Shaare Torah at 15A West 73rd Street in New York City, as well as the Secretary of the Federation of Orthodox Rabbis of America. He lived during World War II and composed a prayer in support of President Franklin Roosevelt and the American troops, condemning the Germans and the Japanese and their allies.

They are written on pages of a copy of Solomon Ganzfried's Kitzur Shulhan Arukh (Code of Jewish Law), printed in Warsaw in 1874, which belonged to Rabinowitz.
