Abstract: | The collection consists of a typed reflection by Lucie R. Weinstein on her days as a student at the Realschule in Bad Berleburg, Germany and subsequent escape from the Holocaust. With the help of friends, her family escaped to America in 1941. In the late 1990s, Lucie worked to establish a memorial to Jewish victims from Bad Berleburg who died in the Holocaust. The collection includes a speech given by Weinstein in Bad Berleburg at the dedication ceremony in May 2000. | ||
