The collection contains his records of the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee, with which he was involved, as well as records of other organizations he participated in. It also contains his personal papers, including correspondence from the 1920s and 1930s in the areas of Jewish belles-lettres, philanthropy and Yiddish journalism. His notes, drafts of articles, and newspaper clippings reflect his interest in Jewish political issues, history, bibliography and literature.
