 Abstract:  The Jewish Defense League (JDL), founded by Rabbi Meir Kahane in 1968, ultimately adopted the goal of combating manifestations of Jew-hatred regardless of scale, and often adopted violent means to achieve its goals. The collection consists primarily of photographs and clippings relating to JDL protests and other activities from 1969-1971. There is also a small amount of printed ephemera and correspondence.

 Abstract:  The collection includes three reports by the Office of Strategic Services (OSS), predecessor organization to the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), concerning the activities of Peter Bergson and his Revisionist Zionist organization. The "Bergson Group" Revisionists publicized the horrors experienced by European Jewry under the Nazis to arouse public concern and to pressure the United States government into allowing rescue missions of Nazi victims.

 Abstract:  Lillian Hoffman was born and lived in Denver, Colorado, and was active in numerous philanthropic causes throughout her life, in particular, Soviet Jewry. The collection consists of a six-volume work compiled by Hoffman's daughter Sheila Bialek to document her mother's life and work in commemoration of the 50th anniversary of Hoffman's Soviet Jewry activism. Video recordings of recollections of Hoffman by former Soviet refuseniks and Soviet Jewry activists, as well as several news articles about an event Bialek held in East Hampton, N.Y. in August, 2010 to honor of her mother's accomplishments, are also included.

 Abstract:  Digital collection of materials documenting the life and activities of Leon Charney, a lawyer, author, businessman and philanthropist who hosted a public affairs program on cable television for more than 20 years. Charney also served as an advisor to various government leaders, and as an expert in Middle East affairs, was called upon to function as a backdoor liaison during the negotiations between Israel and Egypt leading to the 1979 Peace Treaty signed by the two countries.
