 Abstract:  The collection includes three reports by the Office of Strategic Services (OSS), predecessor organization to the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), concerning the activities of Peter Bergson and his Revisionist Zionist organization. The "Bergson Group" Revisionists publicized the horrors experienced by European Jewry under the Nazis to arouse public concern and to pressure the United States government into allowing rescue missions of Nazi victims.

 Abstract:  Herbert Tenzer was a founder and administrator of Rescue Children, Inc., organized in June 1946 to assist young Jewish refugees in the aftermath of the Holocaust. The collection includes taped interviews concerning Tenzer's involvement with Vaad Hatzala and Rescue Children, Inc. and photographs of Tenzer with Mayor William O'Dwyer and children at the Rescue Children center.

 Abstract:  Irving Bunim was a businessman, Jewish lay leader, and major figure in the Vaad Hatzala to help Jewish refugees. The Vaad Hatzala, an Orthodox Jewish relief organization established in 1939, provided funds for rabbis and religious students in war-torn Europe and worked for their emigration. The collection contains a photocopy of a transcript of an interview with Irving Bunim by Rabbi Moshe Kolodny of the Agudath Israel of America Orthodox Jewish Archives concerning the work of the Vaad Hatzala during World War II.

 Abstract:  Orthodox Jewish relief organization established in 1939 initially to provide funds for rabbis and religious students in war-torn Europe and to work for their emigration. Involved in negotiations with Germans to save Jews from concentration camps, and provided assistance to Jews who fled Europe to places such as Japan and Shanghai. Provided spiritual rehabilitation to concentration camp survivors following World War II, and arranged for visas for refugee rabbis and religious students to the United States.
