 Abstract:  Solomon Zeitlin (1886-1976), was a noted historian and post-biblical scholar at Dropsie University. The collection was to be used for a biography of Zeitlin, and includes his incoming correspondence from Louis Ginzberg (1932-1939), Saul Lieberman (1944-1965), Lubavitcher rebbe Menachem Mendel Schneerson (1968) and others, as well as articles and clippings regarding his scholarly work.

 Abstract:  The collection contains a letter from Erwin Rosenthal, a scholar of Jewish and Islamic thought, to Herbert Junker, a Catholic scholar and teacher of the Old Testament, on the occasion of Junker's 70th birthday. Included with the letter are some of Rosenthal's notes on religion and philosophy in Islam and a copy of the title page of a festschrift in honor of Junker's 70th birthday.

 Abstract:  The collection consists of a manuscript letter from Isidore Loeb, a French rabbi and scholar, to Joseph Jacobs, an Australian-born folklore scholar who was also a historian of Jewish culture. In the letter, Loeb deciphers an Arabic seal. He acknowledges the assistance of Joseph Derenbourg, a French orientalist and educator.

 Abstract:  The collection consists of letters between various rabbis recommending books which they should purchase, as well as some blank letterhead belonging to one G. Wolf Margolis, Rabbi of the United Reform Community of N.Y., and a business card belonging to one Rabbi Isaac Sodden of the Congregation Ohav Sholom in Brooklyn, N.Y. The five letters in the collection are in a variety of languages, including Hebrew, Spanish and English.

 Abstract:  Rabbi Aharon Chaim Zimmerman (1915-1995) was the Rosh Yeshiva (Dean) of Hebrew Theological College until 1964, and then was a Rosh Yeshiva in New York City until he moved to Jerusalem, Israel in 1975. He wrote several books on Jewish law, philosophy and Israel. The collection contains an unsigned letter to him, commenting on his book Binyan Halakhah on Maimonides' Mishneh Torah.
