 Abstract:  Rabbi Dr. Henry Raphael Gold was a noted rabbi, psychiatrist, and Zionist leader. He held rabbinical positions in Memphis, Boston, New Orleans and Dallas. He served as president of Hapoel Hamizrachi, the labor Zionist organization, before it merged with Mizrachi to form the Religious Zionists of America. The collection contains reprints of articles, speeches and papers written by Rabbi Dr. Gold on psychiatry and Judaism.

 Abstract:  Rabbi Charles M. Young (1884-1948) was a rabbi and businessman. He received his ordination at the Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary, and was a qualified shochet (ritual slaughterer). The collection contains a photograph (circa 1905), some of Young's letters of credentials as rabbi and schochet, and a brief biographical sketch written by his son.
