 Abstract:  The collection consists of a program of the Louis Ginzberg Jubilee Celebration sponsored by the Jewish Theological Seminary in 1943. The event was designed to honor Louis Ginzberg, a prominent Jewish scholar and leader in the Conservative movement, for his 50 years of teaching at the JTS. The program contains a list of Jubilee events, including an address on Dr. Ginzberg's scholarly contributions by Dr. Saul Lieberman of the JTS.

 Title:  Correspondence to Richard Gottheil from European publishers

 Abstract:  Richard Gottheil was born in Manchester, England in 1862, and moved to the United States in 1873. He became the first professor of Semitic studies at Columbia College after 1886, and he published works in Hebrew and Arabic in his field. The collection contains correspondence with him between 1887 and 1893 from publishers in London, Leiden, and Leipzig regarding the cost of printing his manuscripts.

 Abstract:  Samuel Belkin was a Philonic scholar, rabbi and educator, and was president of Yeshiva University from 1943-1975. The collection consists of his scholarly writings, speeches and addresses, and poetry, as well as obituaries and tributes to him following his death. Portraits, plaques, photographs and personal artifacts relating to him and his achievements are also included..
