 Abstract:  The Progressive Brethren of Nieshwies was a Landsmanshaft (benefit society) located on New York City's Lower East Side. It was founded in 1888 by emigrants from Nieshwies (Neshwies, Niasvizh) in Belarus. The collection consists of an invitation and admission tickets to their 42nd anniversary banquet, a Golden Jubilee Book from its 50th anniversary dinner (1938), the Constitution of the Progressive Sisters of Nieshwies, and a souvenir journal from its 10th anniversary dinner (1935).
