The Teachers Institute for Men was a training school for Hebrew teachers founded in 1917 by the Mizrachi Organization of America. In 1921, it was absorbed by The Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary, a parent school of Yeshiva University. In 1966, the school was reorganized as the Erna Michael College of Hebraic Studies, a four-year undergraduate Jewish Studies program of Yeshiva University, which was renamed the Isaac Breuer College of Hebraic Studies in 1982.

Scope and Contents

The collection consists of yearbooks of Yeshiva University's Teachers Institute for Men, a training school for Hebrew teachers, which was succeeded by the University's Erna Michael College of Hebraic Studies. The yearbook ceased publication in the early 1970s. Several volumes contains graduates from two years.
