Nathan and Lila Hausman held parlor meetings for Vaad Hatzala and Rescue Children, Inc. at their home in Brooklyn. The first meeting of Rescue Children, Inc., hosted by the Hausmans in 1944, raised $42,000 for the cause. Nathan Hausman also provided affidavits for refugees fleeing from Nazi Germany.
