He used his wealth and influence to combat anti-Semitism and to improve the financial and spiritual condition of Jews worldwide. He was active on behalf of Jewish settlement and development of the Holy Land.
The collection contains a photocopy of an autograph letter, signed by Sir Moses Montefiore, to Henry Solomon thanking Solomon for having initiated the movement on behalf of the Holy Land in Savannah, Georgia.
