Abe Levine of Brooklyn, New York was responsible for the printing and distribution of Kahane Magazine, the official publication of the Jewish Defense League. The Jewish Defense League (JDL) was a militant international organization dedicated to protecting Jewish rights.
The collection contains materials relating to the publication of JDL magazines and literature. Included is correspondence between Abe Levine and Rabbi Meir Kahane concerning publishing matters, as well as copies of Kahane Magazine (1976-90), Kach newsletter (1987-88), and Only Thus (1987-88). It also contains audio cassettes of Rabbi Kahane, pamphlets, a dinner journal in tribute to Rabbi Kahane, photographs and other miscellaneous items related to the Jewish Defense League.
