 Abstract:  Rabbi Aaron David Burack (1892-1960) was a leading Rosh Yeshiva (Dean) at Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary (RIETS) and a central figure in the Orthodox Rabbinate and the Mizrachi movement. The collection consists of the personal papers, correspondence, speech notes, and halakhic writings of Rabbi Aaron David Burack. Ranging from the 1910s to the late 1950s, the material documents Rabbi Burack's career as a rabbi, speaker and public figure.

 Abstract:  The Sagalovitch (later Sagall) family was a prominent Zionist rabbinic family in Russia and Poland, tracing its roots back to the medieval French commentator, Rashi. The collection contains correspondence, speeches, notes, personal documents, newspaper clippings, and programs belonging to the Sagalovitch-Sagall family. The majority of the items relate to either Jacob Meir Sagalovitch or his son Solomon Sagall.

 Abstract:  Rabbi David Lifshitz (1907-1993) was chief rabbi of Suwalk, Poland before World War II and, following the Holocaust, taught at The Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary (RIETS) for nearly fifty years. The collection documents his involvement with Suwalki Holocaust survivors, his career at RIETS, his leadership position in organizations such as Agudath Harabanim and Ezras Torah and in numerous other issues in the Jewish and Israeli political, rabbinic and communal world. It contains correspondence, some writings and speeches, copies of various publications he collected, and a small amount of personal and family materials.
