| Abstract: | Rabbi Dr. Isaac Abraham Alcalay (1882-1978) served as the Chief Rabbi of Yugoslavia from 1923-1941 and then of the Central Sephardic Communities in America fom 1943-1968. The collection primarily consists of photographs of Alcalay's rabbinic career in the United States. There are also numerous family photographs, a small number of images from his pre-war career in Europe, and various other materials from his personal life and rabbinic career. | ||
