Following the fall of the Soviet Union, the CN's main activity became to assist residents of the Caucasus and Central Asia republics in obtaining refugee-status admission to the United States. The collection consists of the CN's administrative records, individual case files, and reference resources from the period 1984-1999.

He was one of the founders of the Juedisches Lehrhaus in Cologne and taught at Yale and Yeshiva Universities in the United States after leaving Nazi Germany. The collection contains correspondence relating to Kisch's involvement in Kehillath Jawne Austrian Jewish Congregation, medical journals from Germany, medical correspondence, drafts of articles, and manuscripts on various scientific topics.
